This is a MedScape article discussing the antiplatelet options in NSTEMI.
I remember using nitrous at TTH for adult sedation.  It worked.  It also worked on my honeymoon. Here is an abstract from Pediatrics concluding that it’s safe and effective in kids even as young as 1 year of age.
One of the long-term complications associated with pyelonephritis in kids is renal scarring.  Three days of IV Rocephin versus 8 days didn’t seem to make much of a difference in the incidence of renal scars.  In any case, it difficult to argue that admission and IV antibiotics are not necessary.
Just because patients say they are taking their medications doesn’t mean they are taking them properly.  FDA reports that a significant proportion of people are swallowing their Spiriva instead of inhaling it.  These are the same people who are promulgating a Nader-Huckabee ticket.
